Dr Jason King - Director of Clinical Services
MBBS
(UWA), FRACGP
Dr Jason is a Yued and Whadjuk Noongar GP from the South-West of Western Australia. He has worked in remote Aboriginal Community Controlled Health since 2012 and in Far North Queensland since 2015.
Dr Jason’s key interest is in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health with a focus on cultural health, chronic disease prevention and management. Jason is available Monday - Friday.
Dr Takehiro (Takeh) Ichikawa - General Practitioner

MBBS (UQ), FRACGP
Originally from Japan, Dr. Takeh has moved to
Australia in 2007. He has worked in exercise science and rehabilitation prior
to studying medicine. He has a special interest in sports injury, lifestyle
medicine, sexual health and chronic disease management.
Takeh is available Monday to Friday.
Dr Oscar Whitehead - General Practitioner
BMBS, FACRRM
Originally from the UK, Dr Oscar Whitehead has lived and worked in NT and FNQ for many years. His main motivation for studying medicine has been to positively influence how medicine is practiced for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Oscar has worked in varied roles at various levels, form GP to retrieval medicine, as well as Executive Director in Qld Health (Torres Strait), State Director of Medical Services for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (QLD), and a Clinical Executive at Apunipima Cape York Health Council.
Oscar is available Monday, Thursday & Friday.
Dr Rebecca Fatnowna - General Practitioner Registar (ACRRM)
MBBS
Dr Rebecca is a proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman who was born and bred in Cairns. She has an interest in the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, chronic disease prevention and management, and Women’s Business.
Rebecca is available Monday to Friday.

Originally from Innisfail, Dr Brooke has lived and worked all over Australia, most recently in a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory for several years.
She has a special interest in population health, disability health, and chronic disease prevention.
Brooke is available Mondays and Tuesdays.
Dr Peter Roach - General Practitioner
MBBS (JCU), FRACGP
Dr Peter is a North QLD local, living near Tully before moving to study at JCU in Townsville.
He has been at Gurriny since 2016 and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the community of Yarrabah. He has a special interest in lifestyle and preventative health care, appreciating how small daily changes can dramatically impact long term health outcomes.
He enjoys providing patients with a deeper understanding of their conditions and working together on solutions that are achievable. He has a passion for education and supports junior doctors and GP Registrars.
Peter is generally available Monday to Friday.
